M\u00eame dans le sc\u00e9nario le plus favorable (+2 \u00b0C), les niveaux de perturbation d\u00e9passeraient ceux de la p\u00e9riode de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence 1986\u20132020, qui constituait d\u00e9j\u00e0 une phase historiquement \u00e9lev\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Le mod\u00e8le repose sur une architecture d&rsquo;intelligence artificielle entra\u00een\u00e9e sur 135 millions de points de donn\u00e9es issus de simulations foresti\u00e8res couvrant 13 000 sites europ\u00e9ens, coupl\u00e9s \u00e0 des s\u00e9ries temporelles satellitaires plurid\u00e9cennales. Cette approche permet une r\u00e9solution spatiale \u00e0 l&rsquo;hectare et r\u00e9v\u00e8le d&rsquo;importantes disparit\u00e9s r\u00e9gionales : les for\u00eats d&rsquo;Europe m\u00e9ridionale et occidentale seront les plus expos\u00e9es, tandis que l&rsquo;Europe septentrionale, globalement moins affect\u00e9e, verra n\u00e9anmoins \u00e9merger des foyers locaux d&rsquo;intensification.<\/p>\n<p>Mais les auteurs refusent de r\u00e9duire ces projections \u00e0 un simple bilan des pertes. Les perturbations constituent \u00e9galement des catalyseurs de transformation sylvicole. En ouvrant le couvert, en lib\u00e9rant de l&rsquo;espace et en r\u00e9initialisant la dynamique des peuplements, elles cr\u00e9ent des fen\u00eatres d&rsquo;opportunit\u00e9 pour installer des essences et des structures foresti\u00e8res mieux adapt\u00e9es aux conditions climatiques futures.
