La zone d\u2019\u00e9tude est compos\u00e9e de deux bassins versants adjacents pr\u00e9sentant des conditions de site, une composition d&rsquo;esp\u00e8ces et un historique de perturbations similaires.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9colte a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e sur un bassin versant en 1981. L&rsquo;autre a \u00e9t\u00e9 laiss\u00e9 comme r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00ab non coup\u00e9 \u00bb en phase de succession avanc\u00e9e. Le travail sur le terrain s&rsquo;est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises entre 1979 et 2016, sur 22 \u00e0 31 parcelles.<\/p>\n<p>Trente-cinq ans apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9colte :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Le r\u00e9servoir moyen de carbone de la biomasse vivante \u00e9tait significativement plus faible pour la r\u00e9colte des arbres entiers que pour celle des troncs seuls sur les sols mal drain\u00e9s, sans diff\u00e9rence significative sur les sols moyennement \u00e0 mod\u00e9r\u00e9ment bien drain\u00e9s, et sans diff\u00e9rence significative pour le bois mort, le sol forestier et le carbone du sol min\u00e9ral.<\/li>\n<li>Lorsque l&rsquo;on inclut la biomasse vivante au-dessus des souches avant la r\u00e9colte et le carbone du sol forestier, le r\u00e9servoir de carbone du bois mort \u00e9tait significativement plus petit apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9colte des arbres entiers qu&rsquo;apr\u00e8s celle des troncs seuls, tout comme le carbone du sol forestier sur les sols mal drain\u00e9s, mais pas sur les sols moyennement \u00e0 mod\u00e9r\u00e9ment bien drain\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<li>En 2016, les r\u00e9servoirs de carbone de la biomasse vivante, du bois mort et du sol forestier sur le bassin versant exploit\u00e9 ont retrouv\u00e9 62 \u00e0 67 %, 38 \u00e0 39 % et 55 \u00e0 64 % des r\u00e9servoirs de carbone correspondants pour l\u2019absence de r\u00e9colte, tandis que le r\u00e9servoir de carbone du sol min\u00e9ral repr\u00e9sentait 115 \u00e0 124 % de celui de l\u2019absence de r\u00e9colte.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;interpr\u00e9tation de la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration du carbone est sensible \u00e0 la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.
