Par la perte de surface foresti\u00e8re, les habitats sont d\u00e9grad\u00e9s, le maillage forestier est rompu et de nombreuses fonctions \u00e9cologiques sont perdues. De m\u00eame, l&rsquo;analyse de la complexit\u00e9 des espaces naturels est n\u00e9cessaire pour comprendre leur fonctionnement.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019identification et le contr\u00f4le de cette fragmentation dans l\u2019espace et le temps n\u2019est pas t\u00e2che ais\u00e9e, encore plus si le travail n\u2019est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que par l\u2019homme. Ainsi, une \u00e9quipe scientifique s\u2019est attel\u00e9e \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer une m\u00e9thode math\u00e9matique existante permettant de traiter des images satellitaires en analysant leur d\u00e9sordre et en identifiant les diff\u00e9rentes structures des massifs forestiers (ce qui pr\u00e9pare le travail pour les scientifiques).<\/p>\n<p>Cette nouvelle m\u00e9thode, plus pr\u00e9cise et efficace que les techniques utilis\u00e9es auparavant, vient enrichir la bo\u00eete \u00e0 outils \u00e0 disposition des chercheurs pour relever de fa\u00e7on fine les d\u00e9gradations du maillage \u00e9cologique. Une premi\u00e8re application dans les Carpates \u00e0 permis d\u2019identifier l\u2019intensit\u00e9 des d\u00e9forestations de la r\u00e9gion entre 2000 et 2021, de comparer les diff\u00e9rents massifs montagneux de la r\u00e9gion et trouver les sources et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateurs de d\u00e9forestation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dans plusieurs parties du monde, la fragmentation foresti\u00e8re est une cause importante de perte de biodiversit\u00e9.
