La distribution des ressources varie fortement selon le statut des arbres : un domin\u00e9 favorisera une croissance en hauteur pour capter la lumi\u00e8re alors que les dominants avantageront\u00a0l\u2019accroissement de leur circonf\u00e9rence. Au sein d\u2019un peuplement clair, il n\u2019y a pas de comp\u00e9tition pour la ressource. Tous les arbres pr\u00e9sentent la m\u00eame strat\u00e9gie de distribution des ressources pour leur accroissement tant en hauteur qu\u2019en circonf\u00e9rence. Ceci implique qu\u2019ils paraissent plus trapus que les arbres des peuplements denses.<br \/>\nApr\u00e8s une s\u00e9cheresse exceptionnelle (1976) :<br \/>\nUne gestion dynamique du peuplement permet une r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration plus rapide de l\u2019accroissement suite \u00e0 un \u00e9pisode de s\u00e8cheresse.
