Une \u00e9quipe de chercheurs allemands s\u2019est r\u00e9cemment pench\u00e9e sur la question.<br \/>\nDans leur \u00e9tude, ils ont analys\u00e9 les cernes d\u2019arbres provenant de peuplements purs de h\u00eatre et de douglas ainsi que de peuplements m\u00e9lang\u00e9s de ces deux esp\u00e8ces, afin de d\u00e9terminer l\u2019effet du m\u00e9lange de douglas et de h\u00eatre sur la sensibilit\u00e9 climatique de la croissance de ces deux esp\u00e8ces.<br \/>\nIl ressort de ce travail plusieurs conclusions :<br \/>\nLe douglas montre une meilleure croissance en m\u00e9lange qu\u2019en peuplement pur.<br \/>\nIl se montre en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral plus sensible au climat que le h\u00eatre, avec une r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration plus lente de son taux de croissance initial post- stress hydrique.<br \/>\nEn m\u00e9lange, le douglas am\u00e9liore son temps de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de croissance apr\u00e8s une s\u00e9cheresse, contrairement au h\u00eatre.<br \/>\nLes syst\u00e8mes sur sol \u00e0 tendance acide se montrent plus tol\u00e9rants en cas de s\u00e9cheresse.<br \/>\nUne surface terri\u00e8re faible permet de diminuer la comp\u00e9tition dans le peuplement et diminue la perte relative d\u2019accroissement suite \u00e0 une s\u00e9cheresse.<br \/>\nEn conclusion, il appara\u00eet qu\u2019en m\u00e9lange, le douglas a tendance \u00e0 se stabiliser face aux impacts climatiques, alors que le h\u00eatre voit sa sensibilit\u00e9 augmenter.<br \/>\nThurm E.
