Mixed stands have many advantages, including that of providing greater resilience to forests in the face of climatic and biotic hazards. Oak and Scots pine are often considered two species that are robust in the face of these hazards, at least in the case of sessile oak. The training offered relies on a typology of mixtures based on native oak and Scots pine to provide participants with guidelines for stand management.
