As part of the \u00ab\u00a0Very Wood M\u00e9tiers\u00a0\u00bb campaign, led by France Bois For\u00eat to promote careers in the forest-wood sector among school-age audiences, the studio INOD Solutions has developed Very Wood Quest, a forestry management simulation application designed for educational purposes.<\/p>\n

The game places the user in a 3D forest environment where they must simultaneously manage several dimensions of the sector: tree planting and growth, stand harvesting, processing of hardwood and softwood timber, transport management, and team skill development. Precision mini-games (axe throwing, felling) round out the interactive experience.<\/p>\n

Originally designed for mixed and virtual reality, the game has been adapted as a mobile application available on iOS and Android, thereby broadening its accessibility to a wider school-age audience.<\/p>\n

Beyond its recreational dimension, Very Wood Quest aims to raise awareness among younger generations of the challenges of sustainable forest resource management, to promote careers in the sector, and to illustrate the trade-offs inherent in responsible harvesting practices.<\/p>\n
